摘要: In this paper we report a surface-mediated growth process for oriented anisotropic particles with tunable morphologies. The morphology of the anisotropic particles can be tuned and the generality of this process is checked. 摘要: Light dark matter (DM) with a large DM-nucleon spin-independent scattering cross section and moreover proper isospin violation (ISV) f(n)/f(p) approximate to -0.7 may provide a way to understand the confusing DM.)M direct detection results. Further using the stringent astrophysical and collider constraints, we systematically investigate the origin of ISV,T first via general operator analyses and further via specifying three types of mediators: a light Z ' from chiral U(1)(x), an approximate spectator Higgs doublet (It can explain the W + jj anomaly simultaneously) and color triplets. In addition, although Z' from an exotic U(1)(x) mixing with U(1)(Y) generates only f(n) = 0, we can combine it with the conventional to achieve the proper ISV. As a concrete example, we propose the U(1)(x) model where the U(1)(x) charged light sneutrino is an inelastic DM, which dominantly annihilates to light dark states such as Z' with sub-GeV mass. 摘要: We investigate the a decay half-lives of even-Z superheavy nuclei up to Z = 120 by the modified two-potential approach. Based on the density-dependent cluster model, the a daughter potential is obtained from the double folding integral, taking into account the effect of nuclear deformation. A reasonable formula related with the fissility parameter and the fission barrier height, is applied to evaluate the spontaneous fission half-lives of the studied nuclei. 摘要: Two-quasiparticle bands and low-lying excited high-K four-, six-, and eight-quasiparticle bands in the doubly-odd Lu-174,Lu-176 are analyzed by using the cranked shell model (CSM) with the pairing correlations treated by a particle-number conserving (PNC) method, in which the blocking effects are taken into account exactly. The proton and neutron Nilsson level schemes for Lu-174,Lu-176 are taken from the adjacent odd-A Lu and Hf isotopes, which are adopted to reproduce the experimental bandhead energies of the one-quasiproton and one-quasineutron bands of these odd-A Lu and Hf nuclei, respectively. Once the quasiparticle configurations are determined, the experimental bandhead energies and the moments of inertia of these two-and multi-quasiparticle bands are well reproduced by PNC-CSM calculations. 摘要: Inspired by the recent LHC Higgs data and null search results of supersymmetry (SUSY), we scan the parameter space of the Minimal Supersymmetric Standard Model (MSSM) with relatively heavy sparticles (1-3 TeV). 摘要: We propose a top and bottom seesaw model with partial composite top and bottom quarks. Such composite quarks and topcolor gauge bosons are bound states from supersymmetric strong dynamics by Seiberg duality. Supersymmetry breaking also induces the breaking of topcolor into the QCD gauge coupling. The low energy description of our model reduces to a complete non-minimal extension of the top seesaw model with bottom seesaw. The non-minimal nature is crucial for Higgs mixings and the appearance of light Higgs fields. 摘要: We study LHC Higgs signatures from the extended electroweak gauge symmetry SU(2) circle times SU(2) circle times U(1). Under this gauge structure, we present an effective UV completion of the 3-site moose model with ideal fermion delocalization, which contains two neutral Higgs states (h, H) plus three new gauge bosons (W', Z'). We study the unitarity, and reveal that the exact E-2 cancellation in the longitudinal VLVL scattering amplitudes is achieved by the joint role of exchanging both spin-1 new gauge bosons W'/Z' and spin-0 Higgs bosons h/H. We identify the lighter Higgs state It with mass 125 GeV, and derive the unitarity bound on the mass of heavier Higgs boson H. The parameter space of this model is highly predictive. We study the production and decay signals of this 125 GeV Higgs boson h at the LHC. We demonstrate that the h Higgs boson can naturally have enhanced signals in the diphoton channel gg -> h -> gamma gamma, while the event rates in the reactions gg -> h -> WW* and gg -> h -> ZZ* are generally suppressed relative to the SM expectation. Searching the h Higgs boson via the associated production and the vector boson fusions are also discussed for our model. We further analyze the LHC signals of the heavier Higgs boson H as a new physics discriminator from the SM. 摘要: We present the results of MD simulations, using a coarse grained force field, concerning the mechanism of diffusion in ionic liquid crystals. The dynamical properties of the recently characterized (G. Saielli, Soft Matter, 2012, 8, 10279) model system of 1-hexadecyl-3-methylimidazolium nitrate in the smectic A phase are analysed in detail. Comparison is made with the dynamical behaviour of thermotropic non-ionic smectic liquid crystals (LCs) and with that of lamellar phases of surfactant-water mixtures. 摘要: Metal crystals are assumed to form through a combined process of Ostwald ripening and oriented attachment. Our experiments and simulations, however, indicate that metal crystals are grown in a multistep self-assembly process with metal nanoparticles as basic building blocks.
