Two different types of hadronic-nucleus collisions were chosen as testing tools in order to study the validity of a new analytic form of the nuclear-matter distribution. Microscopic calculations of intermediate-energy K+ -nucleus elastic differential cross-sections are performed by using the impulse approximation. Microscopic Lane-model calculations are presented for low-energy (p, n) charge exchange reaction. The results show that a better description of both processes can be given by the new distribution, and it may provide a complete description of proton and neutron densities.
