AbstractWe investigate the perihelion precession of Mercury, the deflection of light and the radar echo in the context of the generalized Brans-Dicke theory with a coupling constant P. The experiments establish limits of beta(2) less than or equal to 0.002, beta(2) less than or equal to 0.004 and beta(2) less than or equal to 0.001, respectively. We also find that the motion of a photon deviates from the trajectory ds(2)=0.
