AbstractA scheme of combining the theory of many instantons and the effective Lagrangian of QCD is proposed to study the nucleon structure. With this approach, the vacuum structure of nonperturbative QCD is discussed and a reasonable potential of quark confinement is obtained. The calculated results of the constituent quark mass and the decay constant of pion agree with experimental data quite well.
