AbstractA very simple model about the one-dimensional Brownian motion of a single particle in a singular potential field is proposed. In addition, the noise term is also weighted by a singular function, and this is the key to obtain 1/f noise for the present model. The power spectrum of the Brownian motion is investigated. The numerical calculation shows that the power spectrum has the form of 1/f, which is different from ordinary Brownian motion.
