IMPROVED MONTE-CARLO TREATMENT OF MULTIPARTICLE PHASE-SPACE AT HIGH-ENERGY

AbstractIn the Monte Carlo treatment of the cylindrical multiparticle phase-space, the conditions of energy and momenta conservation can be gotten rid of by introducing a compensated weighting factor. This compensated weighting factor will fluctuate hugely when the number of the particles is sufficiently large, which makes the efficiency of the sampling too low to be realized on the computer. In this paper, a method is given to eliminate the hugely fluctuated part in the compensated weighting factor.
