Dynamical and thermal properties of biological membranes

摘要The dynamical and thermal properties of biological membrane is theoretically discussed. A nonlinear excitation of biological membrane can be obtained in the presence of an electric field across the biological membrane. The solitary wave can provide an efficient mechanism for the open and closed mechanism of ion channel in the biological membrane. On the other hand, the lipid ordering within the layers is strongly influenced by temperature. By using soliton statistics, the thermal fluctuation of the splay wave and the specific heat of the biomembrane has also been investigated.
