The relationship between the fractional integral and the fractal structure of a memory set

AbstractIt is shown that there is no direct relation between the fractional exponent nu of the fractional integral and the fractal structure of the memory set considered, nu depends only on the first contraction coefficient xi(1) and the first weight P-1 of the self-similar measure (or infinite self-similar measure) mu on the memory set. If and only if P-1 = xi(1)(beta) (where beta is an element of (0, 1) is the fractal dimension of the memory set), nu is equal to the fractal dimension of the memory set. It is also true that nu is continuous about xi(1) and P-1.
