Elastic- and inelastic-scattering effects on electron magnetotunneling through a quantum well

摘要The elastic- and inelastic-scattering effects on electron transport through a double-barrier quantum well have been studied by adopting Keldysh's nonequilibrium Green's function. The independent boson model and the cumulant expansion method are used in this study. I-V curves are obtained when the magnetic field is applied parallel to the current. Under different magnetic fields, because the energy separations of Landau levels are different, the off-resonance current peak structures can vary greatly, reflecting different scattering processes. The temperature effect is also discussed.
