Transient on-off intermittency in a coupled map lattice system

摘要Transient behaviors are very rich and diverse in a coupled map lattice system. We find that some transient processes exhibit a characteristic on-off intermittency. The average distribution of the laminar phases for different system sizes is calculated numerically. This distribution is characterized by a power law with the exponent - 3/2.
