摘要For J/psi --> (p) over barp pi (0) and (p) over barp pi (+)pi (-), the pi (0)p and p pi (+)pi (-) systems are limited to be pure isospin-(1/2) due to isospin conservation. This is a big advantage in studying N* resonances from J/psi decays, compared with piN and gammaN experiments. The process J/psi --> (p) over barN* or p (N) over bar* provides a new way to probe the internal structure of the N* resonances. Here we report a quark model calculation for J/psi --> (p) over barp, (p) over barN*(1440) and (N) over bar *N*. The implication for the internal structure of N*(1440) is discussed.
