Breaking of chiral symmetry in Rh-104 and its neighbouring nuclei

AbstractThe possible chiral doublet structures in Rh-104 with the asymmetric configuration pig(9/2)(-1) circle times nuh(11/2) have been studied in the triaxial particle-rotor model. The spectra, the I - omega relations and the transition probabilities support the existence of the chiral bands in this nucleus. The gamma-deformation interval -35degrees less than or equal to gamma less than or equal to -25degrees for appearance of chiral doublets in Rh-104 is given. With appropriate moment of inertia and the configuration pig(9/2)(-1) circle times nuh(11/2), the experimental spectra in Rh-104, Rh-106, Rh-108, Ag-110 have been well reproduced by the yrast bands of the triaxial particle-rotor-model calculation.
