Nuclear deformation effect on the J/psi suppression

摘要The nuclear deformation effect on the J/phi suppression in U-U central collisions at 200A GeV/c is investigated based on the hadron and string cascade model, JPCIAE. We found that the J/phi suppression is nearly decreased by a factor of two, if the major axes of both deformed nuclei are changed from along the beam direction, to the perpendicular the beam direction.
